What We Believe

A summary of what we believe is given below :-

We believe that the Bible is God’s word, and the ultimate authority concerning the Christian faith

 

We believe in the Trinity. God is One being, consisting of three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

 

We believe that Jesus was born to a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died for the sins of the world, was raised to life after three days in the tomb, ascended into heaven, is now interceding for those who believe in Him, and that He will return to earth.

 

We believe that man was created pure, but sinned by his own free choice, cutting himself off from God.

 

We believe in salvation through faith in Christ, who died for our sins. This is known as being born again and is a work of the Holy Spirit. We believe that all believers should be baptized in water by full immersion.

 

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which is the believers empowerment for service, and the initial evidence for which is speaking in tongues.

 

We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit and of Christ in the church today.

 

We believe in living a holy life and one of obedience to God’s commands.

 

We believe in divine healing for today.

 

We believe that all believers should regularly participate in the breaking of bread.

 

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men. Those who believe in Jesus will enter into everlasting conscious bliss, while those who reject Jesus will suffer everlasting conscious punishment.
